Summary:

We scored very early. Mmunga got hacked down for what could have been a red card but the ref wasn’t going to give that after 2 minutes. Nicks free kick into the box fell to guest Igor to put us 1-0 up. They had most of the possesion 1st Half but we were very comfortable and disciplined. Let them make mistakes and were deadly on the counter. Stephen & Dave sending us in 3-0 up at HT.

2nd half we took control. Nick & Dave put us 5-0 up. Then the game got a little chaotic as the heat starting getting to teams with only 1x sub each.

•⁠ ⁠Our keeper let a cross go between his hands for 5-1.

•⁠ ⁠Stephen made it 6-1.

•⁠ ⁠⁠They scored from long range for 6-2.

•⁠ ⁠⁠I gave away a PK for 6-3.

•⁠ ⁠⁠CJ got his goal to add to 3x assists for 7-2.

Negatives

•⁠ ⁠It’s hot as fuck now and will be for the next 3 months.

•⁠ ⁠We needed to pull in 5 non regular players to field a team today. The league is pushing us to have a 23 man roster but we have used 39 players in total this season. At some point we’re going to have to make some tough decisions.

Summary:

Positives

•⁠ ⁠Refs were ready to go at 8am blowing the whistle so we can expect that moving forward.

•⁠ ⁠If I am the #14 of 15 players to arrive that’s a good sign.

•⁠ ⁠It was a fun competitive game and we played some great football at points, particularly in the opening 15 mins of each half.

Negatives

•⁠ ⁠We had sustained periods where we played too franticly.

•⁠ ⁠The final ball often lacked the quality or the runs in the box were poorly timed.

•⁠ ⁠Poll goes up Tuesday at the latest now we shouldn’t have to chase anyone for a response moving forward. 5x players took until Saturday to respond.

-We had 1x player drop 15 minutes before the game.

-We had 6x players not respond at all.

-2x we have kicked from the squad (that could probably be classed as a positive though.)

⚽ FC VISION 99 5-3 MADRID

Summary:

Obviously not our best day today.

We started poorly, recovered and got ourselves 3-1 up in the 2nd half before falling away.

Not going to dwell on the negatives. In the end we were well beaten. Some of you put a real shift in, but if we’re being honest, Smitty is the only one that played above par today and gets MOTM for the 2 goals.

Positives

•⁠ ⁠The league responded as well as we could possibly hope to our complaints about when the game started, cutting the game short and the random players 1st Half.

•⁠ ⁠The idea that we might steamroll this league is well and truly over. We need to be ready to a tough game every week.

•⁠ ⁠Dave reached the 20 Goals landmark for the season.

Summary:

We wasn’t switched on for a tough game. They were. 1-0 down after 5 mins without really touching the ball. I think that switched them off a bit how easy it was and we grew back into it. We started to look dangerous on the counter but didn’t have the quality to make it count. Should of had a penalty with a foul on Mmunga. Then he won a Penalty a bit later with a foul from their GK that should of been a red as well but only a yellow. Nick scored it.

2nd half we went 4411 and was basically spurs 2nd half v United. Our best chances were offsides think we had one real attack from Hunter. We defended well and X made the saves he needed to when called upon.

Based on the team we had and how shit we started it was a great result. 2/3 stronger players I think we beat them. But assume they will have some additions for playoffs too.

key notes:

Cysco no showed. Jem, Mmunga, Moises, Adrian all rocked up late.

Most were a 6/10 or 7/10 except for Austin, Mmunga & Adrian but those 2 were late. Jem performance wise was a 8/10 as well but just annoying vibes throughout.
